The Stigmata
- the wounds of Christ, an
invitation from Heaven that is a radical call to conversion, dying
to self and rebirth in Christ. Why does God permit
the stigmata to happen and what is its purpose?
Padre Pio -
Capuchin priest and stigmatist who lived in San Giovanni
Rotondo,
Italy, became in 1918 the first stigmatized priest in
the history of the Church. He died in 1968. On May 2, 1999 in Rome,
Padre Pio was beatified for sainthood by Pope John Paul II.
The
Miracle of the Sun at Fatima
- In
1917 on the 13th of six consecutive months and a year before Padre Pio first
experienced the stigmata, Our Lady of Fatima came to deliver a most significant message for mankind. A predicted,
extraordinary miracle of the sun that was
witnessed by an estimated 70,000 people. After extensive investigation, in 1930 the Church declared
the Fatima apparitions "worthy of credence".

A
Plea to Humanity - A
pictorial summary of the video documentary of a statue of Christ that mysteriously weeps and bleeds in
Cochabamba, Bolivia. In the same city, Katya Rivas, a theologically
uneducated woman, who bears the wounds of Christ's Crucifixion, writes in a continuous fashion, profound theological teachings, which she says are dictated to her by Christ. Her writings have the "Imprimatur" of her local

profound messages from Jesus to stigmatist Katya (Catalina) Rivas, of

In 1998 the Archbishop of Cochabamba gave his Imprimatur to the
original eight books of
Catalina's messages in Spanish of which four are

A
Statue of Christ bearing the Crown of Thorns
weeps and bleeds in a small home at the foot of
the mountain on which another statue of Christ, a huge concrete statue with
outstretched arms, overlooks the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia. To mind come the words of Jesus as He enter Jerusalem
the week of His Passion: "I tell you, if
they [His disciples] keep silent, the
stones will cry out!" [Luke 19:40]
After careful
investigation, the Archbishop of Cochabamba declared the statue worthy
of veneration
The
Apostolate of the New Evangelization
-
Cochabamba, Bolivia responds to
Pope John Paul II's
call for a
new evangelization! On
January 22, 1999 the Pope issued his Apostolic Letter Ecclesia in America, the
Evangelization of America, which called for A new evangelization new in ardor, methods and
expression. On May 1, 1999, the Catholic Archbishop of
Cochabamba commissioned the Apostolate of the New Evangelization, the
ANE, under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The
Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe - an
almost 5 centuries old image of the Blessed Mother led to the initial
conversion of 8 million native Indians of Mexico following the 1531
apparitions. This well preserved image on Juan Diego's tilma (a cloak) is seen
by millions of visitors annually at the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
This symbol of evangelization continues to this day to inspire conversions back
to God.
John Paul II has
said: The appearance of Mary to the
native Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac in 1531 had a decisive effect on
evangelization. Its influence greatly overflows the boundaries of Mexico,
spreading to the whole Continent ... Holy Mary of
Guadalupe is invoked as 'Patroness of all America and Star of the first and new
evangelization' "
