Who We Are
Love and mercy is a small Catholic apostolate that was founded by family monarchs, Bob and Bernie Hughes. They grew up as Catholics, married in the faith and raised four children together. A lukewarm family with Sunday Mass and minimum focus on Catholicism. Bob and Bernie heard of miracles happening in Medjugorje Yugoslavia in the early 1980’s. Intrigued and wanting ‘proof’ God was really here with us, they set out to see for themselves. What they witnessed set a fire that is still burning strong today. The miracles in Medjugorje were more than proof God truly exists, but that the Holy Trinity and Our Loving Mother Mary are present in our daily lives, leading and guiding us with unfathomable love and mercy. After Bob and Bernies’ pilgrimages to Medjugorje, they continued on to visit many various religious sites around the world. One of those journeys led them to Catalina Rivias, a visionary from Buenos Aires, Bolivia. Upon meeting Catalina and witnessing the many gifts God has bestowed upon her, Bob and Bernie wanted to share her story with the world. Love and Mercy was born out of that desire.
What We Do
Love and Mercy’s mission is to share the visions and writings given to Catalina from Jesus and Mary. We feature several teachings she was instructed to write from our Heavenly Mother. The writings span across several areas of the Catholic faith, broken up into multiple books and booklets. Catalina also endures the wounds of Christ, known as a stigmata, which she shares with us.
The Love and Mercy apostolate distributes information pertaining to a few more miracles in our faith. Those include the bleeding statue of Christ in Cochabamba, Bolivia and Eucharistic miracles of the host. In the Eucharistic miracles, the host has been transformed into living heart tissue.
Why We Do It
Love and Mercy stared out of a piercing desire to spread the messages and miracles God has given to all mankind. To show God truly does exist, He is here, and wants nothing more than to shower us with His graces. We want to help the world see and know God’s unfathomable love and His endless mercy.
Love and Mercy offers books, holy cards, audio CD’s, and video DVD’s. All are available in hard copy or to read/print, watch, and listen online!
